Eveylyn, Good luck on your contact with Ron. I hope he's a match. Your statement rang true. I didn't start my quest for ancestors until my mother died and I realized all she knew went with her. She didn't like to talk about family, but I wish I had tried harder. Thank goodness my father was still alive, although in his 90's, his memory was still sharp. I made quite a few recordings of our conversations about his family and his life. I'm so glad I did because he passed away too about 8 years after my mother.
