Among them was Highland IL. In a family history that I have it mentions that my gt grandmother 1st settled in Highland IL, later moved on to KS to get married. Is there anyone in the Madison Co. Gen. Soc. or the Historical Soc. who has made a study of the Swiss-Am immigrates in Highland. My problem is that I feel her name was angilicized by the authors of the history written some 50 yrs after passing, thus creating problems in tracing her to Swiz. Thank you.
