Bobbie Hubbard Bobbie (Polk) Hubbard, 61, of South Roxana, died at 3:03 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 1988, at her residence, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Hubbard was a selector at Owens-Illinois Glass Inc. of Alton 28 years, retiring in 1981. Born in Rankin, Miss., she was the daughter of the late Burt [sic] and Madgie (Burnham) Polk. She married William John Hubbard Jr. Feb. 17, 1943, in Corpus Christi, Texas, and he died July 12, 1985. Surviving are two daughters, Katherine Scott and Virginia Bart lett, both of South Roxana; two sons, William John Hubbard III of Hartford and Richard Alan Hubbard of St. Louis; five grandchil dren, Laura and Sarah Scott of South Roxana, Ill., Tera, Denise, Cryatal [sic] Hubbard of Hartford, Ill., one sister, Maggie Simpson of New Mexico; and three brothers, Bert Polk of Hunting ton Beach, Calif., Jerry Polk of Aransas Pass, Texas, and Tommy Polk of Great Falls, Mont. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Gray Funeral Home in Wood River, where services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday by the Rev. Roy Gibbs. Burial will be in Wanda Cemetery at South Roxana.
