Evelyn, I just noticed you said her cousin's father was Robert E. Selph. Is that Lourina's brother? If so, you might want to get death certificates for Robert (if he died in the area also) since it would hopefully reveal his parents names. Also try obituaries in the newspaper archives. They reveal a great deal. It would seem since there were others in the area, then census records might be your only choice right now. It was common for parents to live near their children or siblings back then. Judy
