RESEARCHING SCARBOROUGH (SCARBROUGH) FAMILY IN MADISON COUNTY: My ancestor was Nannie Lorene Scarborough b)1870, and she married James Gillham Southard in June 1885; his parents were Lemuel Sr and Martha Gillham Southard. I have Nannie's birth record and marriage record, some birth records of her children. The Scarborough family was counted in the 1880 US census of Madison Co, HH#170-175. John Scarborough was age 40 and born in Tx; his wife Hannah Shouts, was 27 and born in IL. Four children: Nannie, age 10, Charles, age 8, Fannie, age 5 and Ellen, age 7 months. Would appreciate any response regarding this family and where they went after 1880. Are there descendants in the area still?
