Evelyn, Has anyone been able to help you further with your search for Lourina's parents? Since they're not mentioned on the death certificate, and you know she was born in Dover, Stewart Co., TN, it would seem your next choice would be to look at the census records for Stewart County and see if you can find her and her parents there. You might at least be able to find someone with the name Selph even if it's prior to her birth. It's an unusual name and should be easy to find. Have you requested a birth certificate or record for her from the State of Tennessee or you maybe Stewart County. Sorry I'm not much help. Why did they marry in Alton?
