Collinsville is now the 44th community in Illinois to be designated as an official Illinois Main Street Comunity. Volunteers, city officials and citizens will gather at the Downtown Collinsville Main Street office at 216 East Main Street on November 22 at 1:30 pm for a ribbon cutting ceremony. The Downtown Collinsville office and several downtown merchants are having open houses on the same date. Refreshments will be served - roasted chestnuts will be one of the special treats available. Explore downtown from noon until late in the afternoon.
