    3. Hi, All, After a year off-line and a move to Arizona, I am back to searching for information on my great-grandfather, John E. Williams, and my great-grandmother, Sarah A. Clifford. At least I know more about them now than I did when I last posted. I hope some of this information is familiar to some one: John E. Williams: 1862, son of John D. Williams, married Sarah A. Clifford on April 6th, 1882, in Roodhouse, Greene Co, IL. John's place of birth is unknown, as is his death date, but it had to be between 1896-1928. I suspect the 1928 date is closer. Sarah A. Clifford: 1857, Alton, IL, to John and Lydia B. Clifford, immigrants from England between 1853-1856. Siblings of Sarah are John Clifford, Jr., Charles Clifford, Isabel Clifford, and Mary Clifford. Sarah's parents both died in 1869 and Mary and Sarah were left as wards of a Dixon family in Alton or Upper Alton. The Cliffords and Dixons share plots in Godfrey City Cemetery, so I am assuming there is some relationship between the two families. Does anyone have a connection? Thanks for reading this and for any looking up that you might do. I appreciate any and all efforts on my behalf. Sincerely, Myra Best Christeck
