Friends-- I don't have a dog in this fight. However, it seems to me that a few of the comments I have seen in the last couple of days do not qualify as constructive suggestions. Maybe we should remember that most of the work done in organizations like historical societies, genealogy groups (and the many websites that rootsweb sponsors) is carried out by VOLUNTEERS. VOLUNTEERS are people who DONATE their time to help others. The most effective way to make an organization better is to write a check and/or offer to help work to improve the situation.
