Thanks, Victoria! Any promoting of the Jefferson County MOGenWeb is definitely appreciated. I believe we lost a lot of people when the site stagnated and offered nothing new last year. I have totally re-designed and changed the offerings and am working closely with the Jefferson County Genealogical Society, the Jefferson County Historical Society, and the De Soto Public Library in order to make the site a resource for not only genealogical information, but for researching the history of the area as well. We are all working together (rather than against each other) for the researchers. I have plans in the works to cover the history of the area as told by researchers and their ancestors, history and stories of the "Lakes of Jefferson County", "Churches of Jefferson County", photo albums of the people and places of Jefferson County, etc., as well as trying to get more genealogical research information (such as marriages, census, etc.) online. The Cemetery Transcriptions and "Charlotte's Corner" (excerpts from old Jefferson County newspapers) are just the beginning!
