I have a Clarence Stahl born Aug 19 1906 and died Dec 1980 in Alton, Madison County, Illinois. Clarence may have been married to Margaret Stanton about 1905. Clarence had a son also named Clarence who died in Dec 1980 and is buried at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Alton, Ilinois. The latter Clarance had a daughter Bernice, married to a Henderson and also a daughter Lillian married to a Josh, (last name unknown. Clarence ( the older) had a brother: Cecil N. Stahl born May 10 1898 and deid Feb 21 1988. I beleive Cecil was married to Victoria Lanham abt the 1930's. Don't know anymore about if they have family. In my research, I have found a Lizzie Stahl that was apparently a cousin to my great-grandmother, Theresia [Mueller] Holl. Lizzie Stahl might have been related in some way to a Bauer family that owned a furniture store/funeral parlor in Alton. I haven't figured out the connection yet. I have letter from Lizzie Stahl written in 1898.
