I looked at the 1900 census at Family Tree Maker and below is the list of first names with the Sedrick surname that they have in their databases which could be for any locale. Sorry but Abram, Ophelia and Ida don't appear. If you happen to know that one of these names may be your family, let me know and I'll do further checking for you. I even tried to see if Edward and/or Scott Simmons (Ophelia's sons) went over to St. Louis to live and work. Found several Edward Simmons. Only one came close - an Edward Simmons that was the right age, but said he was born in Alabama and his parents both born in Virginia. On the 1880 census it was reported that Edward as well as his parents (Ophelia and her first husband) were born in Louisiana.
