Thank you for that information. Samuel Stahl (who married Elizabeth Boucher) was a brother to Hiram Stahl who married Sarah Boucher) The Bouchers were sisters. The person I am really researching is Ellen Stahl (b. April 1851) , d/o Hiram Stahl. Ellen married 1st to David Porter and had one child Elmer Porter, soon after the baby was born, she divorced David and probably moved back to Illinois with her family. Then later married John C. Frank from Fountain Green IL area. Since I reached a dead end with Ellen and John Frank, I thought I would try with the Stahl surname. I am trying to track down whatever happened to Elmer D. Porter born 1882. Of course I am trying to find when and where Ellen died and is buried. Also information on Elmer. Several of older Stahls lived in Alton. And there are still Stahls and Porters there today, according to phone directories. (May not be related etc) I know Elmer was alive in 1903. You may already know this, and I do have older Stahl and Boucher information if you are interested or don't have it. Maybe we can figure this out. Are you from Alton? I am from Central MO.
