    3. Could anyone tell me the names of the Catholic cemeteries in Alton, Godfrey, and Collinsville area with interrments between 1850-1925? Also the Catholic churches in these areas.

Vicki Cemeteries - Alton - St Joseph's Cemetery (records at St Mary's Catholic Church on Henry Street in Alton) Godfrey - St Patrick's Cemetery (records at St Mary's Catholic Church on Henry Street in Alton - about 10 years ago St Patrick's Catholic Church was closed and combined with St Mary's, all records going over to St Mary's) Collinsville - Sts Peter and Paul Cemetery (records at Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Vandalia Street in Collinsville) Other Catholic churches - Alton - St Matthew's (on Milton Road) Alton - Sts Peter and Paul (on State Street) (still referred to as "Old Cathedral" as it was the see of the Alton Diocese which was the predessor of the now Springfield Diocese) Godfrey - St Ambrose (on Homer Adams Parkway or IL 3) Debbi Geer Debbi __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
