My great grandfather, Heinrich (Henry) Determann, came to the USA from Breslau, Germany and according to the 1900 Census landed here in 1854 at New Orleans, settled for awhile in Missouri, and then to Madison County. I am searching for the exact date he landed and for the name of the ship he came on. I have consulted the volumes, Germans to America to no avail. Can anyone out there help me?
