TN but was unable to find him in any 1860 Census Until today when I went through an 1860 IL Madison Co Census book and found him listed: James Hoda 31 years old White Male Daylaborer b. AL MURDER WOW Murder Has anyone ever come across any Murder that listed him as the culprit? I have found a Hodo family living in St. Clair Co. I am wondering if he commited the murder there and was sent to prison in Alton? Sorry for Rambling I am just excited.
