    1. [ILMADISO-L] Desperately Seeking Mary Anne Russell
    2. Tom Rea
    3. My probable ancestor Andrew Russell died intestate in 1835 in Madison Co. I got his probate records from Irad. No mention of wife for orphans. However a researcher in Salt Lake City saw mention on a micro film of a guardianship record for his orphan Mary A. Russell in a file box for 1832-1837. It is not indexed in IRAD. I have tried to hire someone to look for it either in the county courthouse or in the IRAD files at SIU. Can anyone direct me to someone who will do this for me for a fee? I don't think IRAD will search without an index location, but I think guardianship records would be among probate court records?? wherever the originals are kept? Thanks, Tom Rea My great grandmother was Mary Ann Russell, born 1832 in St. Louis, father Andrew Russell, mother unknown, siblings unknown. Parents may have been Andrew Russell and Nancy Craycraft who married 1816 in Bath Co., KY. Nothing else is known about them. Mary Anne Russell marries in 1852 at Carlisle, Nicholas Co., KY, home of many of Mrs.Nancy Craycraft Russell's siblings. Per inventory records Andrew Russell's wife was seen by a doctor in Madison Co., IL in 1833-1834. His administrator was John Ives, a Justice of the Peace. --
