I have sent an email message to Ancestry regarding the links between the towns and townships and the census images. It seems that the links are not going to the town or township that it should be directed to. For example, click on Alton and you get Saline Township and Highland, click on T6 R9 and you get T5 R7. In my message I suggested that they take the 1870 Madison Co IL census offline and correct the links so that we the subscribers will be able to use their use rather than get frustrated and discouraged.
