    3. In a petition to sell his real estate in Sept 1842 Seth T Hodges is named and so is the name of the paper the Alton Telegraph. Would someone go to Hayner Library and look at the microfilm of the 1841 Alton Telegraph, and see what information can be gathered about Seth T. Hodges. He died 18 June 1841. I want to know if his children are named in his obituary. I am hoping a William age 11 is named. Several children were left orphaned. If you will contact me. Thanks.

    3. Marita I don't think you'll get an obit that far back. I think there are a few editions of the newspaper in the 1850's and 1860's but no obits as they were more national news than local. The obits didn't start until probably in the 1880's. Debbi Geer __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
