    3. I thank everyone who responded to my note re my question regarding Arnold Wolf and Eliza Ross. Unfortunately, I've not been able to make any connection with Arnold and other Wolfs (no matter how it's spelled) in the area as of yet. My intent, however, with my original note was to see if anyone knew where the magistrate ("J. Padon., Mg." as it appears on the marriage record) that married them was located. If I can find out in what part of the county or what township that J. PADON lived, then I can do some investigating in that particular part of Madison County. Does anyone else have notations on their ancestors' marriage records that J. PADON performed the marriage? Again, this would be in 1866. Jo House

    3. I did a quick search in the 1880 census from family history resource file and came up with a J.S.Paden in Harvel , Montgomery, Illinois. That was as close as i could get to the Padon name in census so far. Good luck!!!!!
