I received a private email message from Corey Bowen who is presently the fire chief of the Meadowbrook (IL) Fire Department. He said that Gooseville is now part of Meadowbrook. There's a few buildings left which were part of Gooseville, but that's it. Meadowbrook is just east of Bethalto on highway IL 140 or about 2-3 miles west of the intersection of highways IL 140 and IL 159.
