Does any one know if Madison County kept Bastardy Bonds? I just read about them on another site and wondered if this would help my dilemma. If they exist, where are they kept and for what years? I need to determine if an ancestor was a grandson born out of wedlock to a daughter or is really the son and wonder if bastardy bond would help.
