    3. Hi, It would be great if we could connect. And yes my parents always said we had Cherokee, but I have yet to prove it. Boyd line was supposed to have Indian heritage. I'm not sure about the Billingsleys or Turners but they were the ancestors of the Binyon line that was supposed to have had Cherokee also. Boyds: James J. Boyd m. Sarah "Sallie" Edison 1857 Searcy AR, daughter Ida Mae m. Stephens. Ida was supposed to be part Indian. (I have James' ancestors) Billingsleys: Tabitha Billingsley m. James Turner, daughter Lydia J. m. William B. Binyon 1843 Gibson Co. TN I have descendants and ancestors to share if we connect. 3. I just recieved some documents from Madison County Circuit Court Some on a James J. Piper he died Dec 13 1913 (I believe). Surviving him - James A. Piper from Winchester, ILL. Gertrude Taylor from Winchester, Illinois and Ada Bayera Gruver from Farina, Illinois. And on a George M. Farris (he also went by G.M. Farris) died 29 Sept 1952. It looks as if Mae (May) E. Farris was his spouse and they had two children - Eldon B. from Alton and Mildred Mae Cook. I can't connect these to my Piper's and Farris' at this point so if you think you can make a connection to these folks drop me an e-mail - I'll be waiting to hear from you. -- Debi Fort Myers, FL df620@gate.net - - - - - - - - - I'm not stuck. 1. MEXICAN WAR INFO!
    2. Stan Jacobs
    3. I am interested in possibly locating an old photo that someone may have showing a group of men that served in the Mexican War. I am thinking that they probably held gatherings or "reunions" of their outfits that they served with. The particular unit that I am interested in finding is Co. "G", 1st Illinois Volunteers (Captain J. Wyatt's Co.), a regiment under the command of Col. John J. Hardin, 1846 - 1847. Col. Hardin was from the Jacksonville area, Morgan County, IL. If anyone can offer me some help regarding this outfit, please contact me directly. I would be highly thankful for any help. Regards, Stan
