    3. Hello Everyone,I am trying to find where my Hoehn family is buried and what church they used when they arrived in Alton from Germany in 1846.I know they attended a Lutheran Church in Germany and that there was a Lutheran church in Alton at the time, but the church changed denominations before 1900 when my Charles Hoehn died.I checked vital records and not much exists for my early Hoehns.I have sketchy bible dates and places.Everything said they should be in Alton.Aside from a few newspaper anouncements and one existing 1858 Alton city directory at the Alton Library,I havent found them on a census or in a cem.record. Im looking for George Henry Hoehn died 1851 in Alton wife Elizabeth Dora,And son Charles supposedly died in 1900 and wife Margaret.Any suggestions? Thanks Timothy Hoehn/Boydston PO BOX 2521 Sitka Alaska 99835 ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

    1. Marriage Delima .... Raymond Myers
    2. Gregory Myers
    3. Hope someone can help .... I'm trying to solve a situation with my great-grandparents data. I have a RAYMOND MYERS (B. 26 Feb 1896 in St. Louis; D. 08 Jun 1958). Who 1st married on 24 Jul 1915 to ISABELLE SCHMID, then divorced on 24 Nov 1915 (I have both records), they possibly had a child by the name Vernet, by the records, but old family denies that fact. Raymond then married my great-grandmother CATHERINE NEVA HAYES (B. 18 Nov 1899 in Vanderburg Co., IN; D. 15 Jan 1976 in St. Louis). Their 1st child RAYMOND L. MYERS was born on 27 Dec 1916. Here's where I need some help: I can't find another marriage on my great-grandfather to my great-grandmother with a county. I did find in St. Vincent De Paul's records that they were married on 28 Apr 1922 in St. Louis, but this date is after they already had 4 children, and doesn't make sense, now the family bible passed down from them shows their marriage as being in March of 1915 (but that's impossible due to Raymond Myers's 1st marriage to Isabelle being in July 1915. It looks like they didn't want family to know of his 1st marriage and to ensure all children felt legitament. I think they possibly married right after Raymond's divorce (Nov 1915 or later into 1916) at a Justice of the Peace somewhere close to St. Louis. (My great-grandmother Catherine Hayes lived in Granite City for a period up to 1916 or her marriage.) Can anyone PLEASE check any indexes for marriage of Raymond Myers to Catherine Hayes (1915-22) in surrounding counties of St. Louis, ie. Madison, IL; St. Clair, IL; St. Louis County; St. Charles County or Jefferson County, MO.?????They had to be on file somewhere. I think the 1922 marriage at St. Vincent DePaul was a renewal of vowels of feeling guilty of using a J.O.P., if they did earlier. Does anyone have any input on this???? THANK YOU in advance, Greg Myers P.S. I also have a website at: http://members.tripod.com/~gregorymyers/index.html with St. Louis and Madison County, IL Surnames and more on this/my MYERS line.

Have tried to go through it line by line to no avail!! Thanks to any kind soul who has the 1870 census index, if one exists, and is willing to lookup these people! 1. Neemann and Ennen
    2. My ggggrandfather Gerhard Behrends Neemann arrived in Madison Co. in the 1860's from Ostfriesland. In 1869 he married Anna Gerdes Ennen(also from Ostfriesland) in Alton. They had at least for kids (Gerhard, Anna, John and Hermann) in IL before moving to Nebraska around 1880. Most of Gerhard's family went straight to NE but a few relatives at least stopped in IL before moving on. I'm looking for any Neemanns that might have stayed behind. Also any Ennens in the area. When Anna arrived in IL she was in her mid twenties and unmarried. She likely wasn't travelling alone, but I haven't found any other relatives of hers in the US. I'm also looked for other related families that at least passed through Madison Co.: Guthals, Eisenhauer, and Rademacher. Thanks Steve
