Does anyone know who the parents are of Isaac HILL b 1760-70 and his wife Lucy _____. This is not the Isaac HILL who married Lucy PROFIT in Wake NC and lived in GA then died in TN. My Isaac HILL was in GA in about 1785-1800 or so. He and wife Lucy were member of the Wood River Primitive Baptist church. He appears to be associated with the STUBBLEFIELD family of Bond, Madison and Greene Cos., IL who also had a GA connection, as well as the Rev. William JONES Primitive Baptist preacher who also had children born in GA. Some of his known and probable children are: Jonathan b GA 1785 who m Nancy BANKSTON 1807 in St. Clair Co. IL (not sure if he is son); Lurane Ann who m Thomas BROWN; Delilah who married John WOODS 1808 in St. Clair Co. IL; Gillian b 1791 GA who married Thomas RATTON in 1807 St. Clair Co., IL died Collin Co. TX aft 1860; Ruth who m Edward D. TERRILL and/or Issac WEST; Patsy who m John LAUTON/LORTON Madison Co. IL; Samuel who married Lydia BEEMAN-FALKNER (my ancestors - but no marriage record has been found); Thomas who married Peggy H. MOORE in 1818 Madison Co. IL; Temperance who was born 1802 GA, married Thomas PADFIELD in 1820, Bond Co., IL; Polly who married John ALLEN and/or John WARD. Thanks for any help -- Phyllis J. Bauer

Can someone please do a look up for me in An Alton city directory? I am looking for the Name of Blanche Porter. She said she was married to an Elmer Porter. (I never found marriage records) The time frame would be from 1905 until 1920, so if some one could just pick a random year in that time frame, I would apprecitate it. Maybe the year 1913.Thank you. Pat
Can anyone tell me where I might purchase a map of Madison County 1809 to about 1830? I am trying to locate the following: It was here in 1809 on the edge of the Silver Creek timber, on the eastside of section thirty-one, the first cabin was erected in the southeast part of Madison County by the widow Lydia Stewart Howard. This was in the Saline Township. Thank you for your help, Georgenia Stewart Las Vegas, Nevada
Tim, do you know the exact address. The old city directories should have had it listed. If you can locate it based on buildings still existing, you should be able to pin point the corner -----Original Message----- From: Racerbarb@aol.com <Racerbarb@aol.com> To: ILMADISO-L@rootsweb.com <ILMADISO-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Wednesday, June 30, 1999 2:25 AM Subject: Re: My Hoehn reunion last weekend. >The red building on the corner of 4th & State (north) is the Children's >Library of Haynor LIbrary. Donna, Okay I read *every* word - now I'm more concerned, not less. Methinks they protesteth too much. Who wrote that response? Doesn't the syntax bother you? Their oft quoted question: what would they gain? That's simple enough. Computers and the internet (and those who hold monopoly over them) have created the "information age". There's big bucks in the hands of any entity/company that "controls information"...good old supply and demand, y'know. I think I will just keep my eyes and ears open before a finding of guilty or innocent. Hi all, I am looking for verification of the birth of William Edward/Edward William YAGER. (b) 9 Oct. 1838/9, Ill. He married Rachael Hunt in 1864 in Edwardsville, Madison Co., Ill. Both (d) in Harrison Co., Iowa. I think he is the child of Buford YAGER & Julia Ann WILHITE. (Carolyn Blatter generously shared the Buford YAGER/WILHITE info. with me., but it doesn't show William being married etc.) Williams siblings were probably: Mary C. 1832 Cyrus W. 1837 Austin 1842 (md) Hester Darlington & died in Iowa also Nimrod D. 1844 (d) 1855 Margaret E. 1847 Joel N. 1848 Nicholas J. ca 1849 Owen ca 1853 John Laffy ca 1856 (md) 1883 Julia ca 1859 (d) 1878 The 1850 & 1860 Census show them in Madison Co. William in 1850 & Edward in 1860. 1860 census page 241, line 26 has them in Moro. I will appreciate any help or suggestions with this search.
