I was recently in county. To my surprise, there is at least one one-room schoolhouse still standing. On Finch Road in Polk township. The school doesn't appear in the 1932 USGS map that includes schoolhouses. Does anyone know what the school is called? I will send a picture to the website if asked. Complete with water pump and storm cellar. I peeked inside. Its pretty rough but the blackboards are still there. How long before chalk is just a memory?
Send it to me, Lloyd. I can put it up and see if someone can identify it. Thanks. Gloria At 06:52 PM 9/30/2009, you wrote: >I was recently in county.
