Not in my direct line, but... John Knibb (1845 - 1911) immigrated from England in 1855 with his mother and siblings. In 1863, while living in St. Louis, he enlisted in Company "B" of the 7th Minnesota Infantry. By 1870 he was living in Bunker Hill, Macoupin County, where he eventually married, and raised six of eight children to adulthood. Sons and nephews served in the Great War, and later generations have continued to serve in the US forces. Marsha L. Ensminger
