I have heard that some viruses can affect the results of any search. Wish Dee would have given a couple of surnames and the town she is referring to so that others could see if they are getting the same results. A check of all the 2009 deaths in a little town where we used to live - 1/4 of the 2009 listings with only last name visible through the _ancestry.com_ (http://ancestry.com/) SSDI. My brother, who died in Sept. but in a different area, was fully listed in Nov., now shows only by last name on ancestry.com. _Footnote.com_ (http://footnote.com/) had the full names for the same searches, but only the last 4 digits of the SSN. If these are trends with the two companies, we may have to search multiple SSDI online.
