Sometimes it is hard to know which county to put them. One of my Gr Uncles was born in Macoupin, but after his Mom died in 1911, he was living in Montgomery County when he enlisted for WW1. Another, born in Macoupin, but was living in Christian County when his son enlisted in WWII, Robert died in Luzon, Philippines. I will try to remember to revive the page on Veterans Day if someone will help remind me. There are many Macoupin vets on that list. So, Wayne, I wouldn't quit on it. You have a good idea. You just need to limit the years, I think. Start the page and put a note on it for any veteran someone knows of having served during certain years from a certain place, to contact you and you can add them. Let it set; don't fret over it and over a few yrs, you will have quite a list. Just my opinion. Born, lived and or died, I mentioned. Sometimes in early parts of researching lines, you know the veteran/ancestral grparent lived all of his life in one place but your research turns up nothing. If the veteran should be listed in another place and a global search will turn the veteran up in another city/county because of a health situation then they are buried in that other city/county probably for financial reason....a win in research/less time.
