Samuel E. Enos and wife Laura W. appear in the 1900 census of Zanesville, Montgomery county, Illinois. He was born in Oct 1867, her date appears to be May 1868. Married less than a year; occupation farmer. Both born Illinois, parents of both born in Tennessee. Copy is a little faint. They are in the 1910 census of District 62 North Palmyra Township, Macoupin, Illinois listed as Sam E. Enos 44 married once for 11 years. Under occupation is farm laborer- working out. He is born Illinois as are his parents. Laura A. 44 married once, 11 years, one child/one child living. She is born Illinois, father born Tennessee, mother born Illinois. Ray, son, age 4. They appear again in the 1920 census of Oskalousa, Clay county, Illinois, along with one son Ray or Roy S. Enos, age 14?. Samuel is 55, Laura is 54. Samuel's occupation is truck farmer. Sorry but I don't have time to search for 1930 right now, but will get this much off. Hope this helps.
