Debbi, Thanks, but I am almost a neighbor -- I live in Granite City, so it's no problem for me to drive to St. Charles. This couple also lived in Jefferson City and Mexico, and possibly other places. He was a bricklayer, which is why they didn't live in any one place for very long -- they moved with the job. My fantasy is that they were ready to come back to Illinois and decided to get married. Got their license in the county where they lived, stopped in St. Charles to get married (I suspect that they knew the judge who married them, but I haven't proved that yet) and then home to Alton, IL. That's my fantasy -- have to start somewhere! However, if you have something at home that covers other counties in Missouri, perhaps you could look for Oscar Franklin Kramer (age 28) and Rudazyle Loretta Schoen (age 20), married June 22, 1936 by Judge Hart in St. Charles, MO. I live in St Ann MO about 10 minutes from St Charles (allowing for the stoplights to be red when I get to them).? I also have some resources here at home. > > Debbi _________________________________________________________________ Windows Liveā¢: Keep your life in sync. http://windowslive.com/explore?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_allup_1a_explore_042009
