Maureen, Off list, please send a little more info on Claiborne - when and where born. In 1880 what state and county do you think he was in? I found a C. W. McPeak born about 1852 in New Jersey. He is doing time in the penitentiary in Joliet, Will County, IL on the 1880 census. Note name in lower part of this PDF file. Some Macoupin County residents could have ended up in St. Louis institutions. Kathie Mirabella In a message dated 10/16/2009 4:23:16 P.M. Many thanks, Maureen
