I found a photo online. I haven't done a lot of work on filing Patents before, but I understand the process is similar to a trademark application. There are filing dates, approval dates, etc. Here is some information about ordering copies and the contact information for the USPTO (U.S. Patent & Trademark Office - www.uspto.gov) - give them a call and see what they will be able to do for you. Something this old may even be available on microfilm at a library: Copies of patents or patent application publications, shipped via the U.S. Postal Service, may be purchased for $3 each.
