We do have them in Polk Twp. in both 1870 and 1880. I also found a second marriage for Thomas, to Mrs. Sophia Zaepfel Hassis, on 22 Oct 1889 in Macoupin Co. I do not find any death record for his first wife Mary in the pre-1916 IL death records online: http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/departments/archives/databases.html I can check in our cemetery book collection on Friday at our Archives to see if any of them are in any Polk Twp.
