    2. The 1875 Macoupin County Atlas shows T. Silberzahn owning 40 acres in Section 9 and 40 Acres in Section 10 [next to each other] with the house in Section 10. This is about 5 miles East of Chesterfield, 1 mile South, or about 2 miles North of Macoupin Station and a little over a mile West. There appear to be no cemeteries close to this land. P. Geiger owns the land in 1895 [Plat Book]. The 1900 Federal Census shows a Phillip Geiger, 72, widowed, living in Carlinville, with son, Jacob; d. in law, Elizabeth; and 3 Grandsons. Does not appear to be related.
