Dear Marita, Linda, Sharon, and Gloria ! Thank you all very much for the information you kindly provided I am related to a Michael Silberzahn who lived in a northern suburb of Chicago (Niles Center). I know WHERE he lived, WHEN he died, but I have absolutely NO idea from whence he came, other than Baden, nor any names of siblings. In an effort to determine the unknown, I am trying to obtain Silberzahn info in general - with hopes of finding even the smallest of links. I have inquired with the Cook County list, the Baden list, Rootsweb surname list, GeneaNet, Kindred Kousins, and reviewed FamilySearch.org - it seems ol' Mike just...."poof"...appeared from nowhere! Thank you again! Tom "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:28-29 NIV
Well, Sharon got you the name of a town, Raiser, in Baden, which might be a great lead. Will see what the Nat papers say. I must warn you that some are very complete and some are so short and sweet as to be useless. Will know Friday which yours is.
