One branch of my family was in Macoupin Co., IL (about 50 miles from St. Louis), and there were FRICKE's there (believe they were German, as was my family). Some, from the book, "Cemeteries at Mt. Olive, Macoupin Co. IL". FRICKE, Hartwig W. 1884-1962 , Helen L. 1887 - 1978 (w/o H. W.) , Albert 1876 - 1893 , Christop 1873 - 1893 , Dora 1879 - 1953 , Friedericke 1840 - 1894 , Hartwig 1849 - 1920 , Dorothee 1858 - 1944 (ssw/H0 , J. H. 1838 - 1901 , Marie D. 1851 - 1935 (ssw/ J H) Dori Fricke was a witness to the marriage of my Gr.Grandmother. I have no known connection to the Fricke family, but hope this is of some help to you.
