I have been stumped trying to find a trace of Louis Zinser, wife Louisa and daughter Mary in Gillespie around 1860 other than the federal census. Their surname was misspelled Zinzer by the census taker. Louis was a gristmiller. I tried the state and federal censuses before and after with no luck. I wrote Freda Price upon the genealogical society's suggestion, but she never responded. Any suggestions? Thanks. Jon
