Dad gum it! Search engine takes you to a page which is umpteen pages long and it isn't alphabetized! Makes you so mad you could spit nails. In your **browser,** look up at the top - see the pulldown buttons? See Edit button? When you have the page you want to search showing in your browser, click on the Edit button, then click on Find in the menu, type your surname in the Find window and click on Find Next. Then Find Again, Find Again til it won't find anymore. Another use for Edit Find even when the pages ARE alphabetized: In the 1860 Macoupin Co census, to find all the **other** surnames living with a family, you need to put what is in column labeled **No. (Number)** of the head of the house in the Find window then keep your eye on the LW (Living With) column. Yep, 25 letters of the alphabet exist for the 1860, so you will have to do that on 25 pages to check all pages. For the 1860, if you put in A24, you are going to find 24 years old people, 240 personal property, and anything with a 24 in it, but the key is to keep your eye on what shows up in the LW column.
