Many of the Carter family listed below are in the 1850 Macoupin County IL Census. By 1860, they are gone (don't know where) except for Ashbel and Elizabeth Carter David are still in the 1860 Macoupin Census. Beverly and Charity Adcock Carter have a child in 1865 in Marion Co IA. When the child Priscilla Weathermon dies (1865-1940), she is buried in Nodaway Co MO. I also have some confusing info passed down information that Charity was married to Edward Carter, widower of Rachel Coverdill Carter. And, Charity and Edward may have had a child Ed Carter Jr?????? Henry Carter marries 1841 to Jane Gibson Richards in Macoupin Co IL and migrates to Marion Co IA then to NE then Henry is lost. I can't figure how Henry might be connected to William. Is he a son or brother of William or other? Where are William and Mary Adcock Carter buried? Any information on any of this family would be appreciated. Will share what I have. Thanks.
