Sawyer. In it many names of neighbors and acquaintances are mentioned. Some listed have brief paragraphs telling about their families, etc. If anyone is interested please email with the names and I will send you what is said about them in this letter. He mentions his father Daniel B. SAWYER and mother, Minerva SCROGGINS with the following children: John (married Hannah PEABODY - sister of the famous inventor) Mary J. (married Frank GODFREY) Harrison (himself) (married Emily Bailey MILLER) Ellen Sarah E. Taylor Frank P. Dempsey B. Robert SPENCE, Snowden SIMMONS, James BURTON - from VA, Abram ISAACS (married Mary EATON from MS) her brother, Thomas EATON, Billy MC KINNEY (married Nancy), Thomas START. Uncle Lemuel (Lamb) SAWYER and Aunt Barby and a son, Josiah. B.H. SAWYER (younger brother of Daniel B. SAWYER) (married Ann SCROGGINS) Uncle Dickey CHAPMAN and son, Joseph, Fletcher CHAPMAN, Gus WALKER, Harry S. or Hamps (can't read) Wall - his 2nd wife was a SCROGGINS, Capt. Dave SPARKS, Col. BAYLESS (RESE), Col. Turner HAYDEN. These names are mentioned but not much written about them: SEXTONS, JARMANS, FUNDERBURKS, WALKERS, CONELS.
