My Samuel Rhoads came to Macoupin County, along with his father and five brothers, about 1832 and settled at Medora. His first wife died there 1 September 1834, and Samuel married Frances Keele, in Greene County on 28 February 1836. Frances supposedly died in MN 24 February 1863, while the family was visiting, or had moved to MN. Samuel returned to Macoupin County and married (3) elizabeth Ables, widow of Armested Ables. Samuel died 16 September 1877 in Macoupin County, but I have not found any estate record or grave for him. The old Rhoads Cemetery just outside of Medora is badly overgrown, but we were unable to find a stone there. Can anyone help me determine where Samuel is buried?
