    3. Not sure about this Bandy line. Mine would have been George and Martha Sutton Bandy. Obituary appeared in the Lamar Democrat Thursday, April 27th, 1922, for George Bandy. Jacque York Sparks retrieved this obit as her Mary Sutton York, sister of Martha above was in Barton Co, too. My Sutton was John Sutton, brother to the above two Sutton girls. I sure appreciate your checking. I have been to Barton County and you will prob know this description. My father wrote down that his mother Nancy Martha Jane Sutton was born on Horse Creek near Milford Barton Co MO. I went to Milford and stood on Horse Creek which was just a little outside of Milford. Can't remember but the population of Milford was less than a hundred people. We stopped at a little store that looked abt ready to shut down. The lady's husband had passed away and she was elderly. At least, we got a pop and ice cream there. It felt good to think I had stood prob close to the footsteps/horseshoe steps that my ggrandparents had taken on Horse Creek. Now, I believe it was you who mentioned an Isaac Martin (senile and can't find the reference to Isaac Martin now..). I would love to know more about the Isaac Martin family and how they tied to the Martins of Moutrie Co IL where a Martin did marry into my Sutton line. One of my Dad's cousins kept a notebook which was written by an older sister of the cousin. In it she wrote that my Suttons had gone to Barton Co to work for Ike Martin but my John Sutton got sick in a few years and they returned to IL. I never knew it might be an Isaac Martin (and maybe not but sounds close for Ike Martin). I just couldn't find out who Ike Martin was. The problem in tracing my Sutton line in Barton Co. is that I feel they left after 1870 and returned before 1880 to IL for them to be included in a Barton Co Census. Probably not a big big deal but would like to return to Barton sometime and skim some stuff at the courthouse to see if I could find a "fingerprint" of my Suttons being there. Thanks so much for the info on Barton Co and when "I get it together" I will try to get a page up at the Macoupin site for "Where they went." That has been an idea in my mind but seems always covered up is my excuse........
