To all searchers on every name DON'T EVER GIVE UP!!!! Just when you think you have looked everywhere possible for your lost ancesters you stumble over a real find. I have been searching for the caretakers of my g-g-grandfather and his bro/sis (FAULKNER) for about 15 years. I knew they were either in Macoupin County or Washington County, IL but didn't know who had custody of them after their father died. It was not relevent to my search but Very Important to me. Yesterday I was just scanning through the Macoupin County 1860 Censis when I came across a 15 year old girl named Martha A. FORTNER and she was the only one in her family! My curiosity up & I began scanning all the F's (figured I would try T's next) when lo & behold, I found 5 of my other children listed as FORTUNE!!!! I was still missing on boy, 15 year old Robert Ross Faulkner. GUESS WHAT! He was listed under ROSS. The Faulkner had been completely dropped. So when you begin to feel there is no hope, LOOK AGAIN!! and again , and again. Love to all you searchers from Judy C, Terre Haute, Indiana
