Hello, Nice to be among you. I am in need of help in trying to locate a couple who used to live in Virden, IL. I only have the last name of the man, Mead(e). I am told he was a bricklayer. He was married to Mary Sharp. I hear that they traveled quite a bit after they retired, living only a few months of the year in Virden. As far as time frame, well, I can only guess. The woman who related this to me graduated high school in 1937. Mary Sharp would have been her first cousin but perhaps a little older. So, I will guess that these peope lived in Virden around 1940 to 1960. Sorry to be so unprecise. I hope someone within in the group either lives in Virden and can check records or perhaps a reverse directory exists listing the people in Virden. I understand it is quite small.
