    1. [ILMACOUP-L] Littleton Bradley's 1860 Macoupin Census Transcription
    2. Gloria Frazier
    3. We now have Littleton P. Bradley's book, Macoupin County Illinois 1860 Federal Census, copyright 1984, at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilmacoup/1860census/intro.htm This is an alphabetical transcription. We want to thank Littleton P. Bradley, a lifetime Virdenite before his retirement, for allowing us to use his book. We recognize and appreciate the time he spent in transcribing the census in alphabetical order using 24,000 index cards. Mr. Bradley also donated for our use his 1850 Macoupin Census transcription which we have on the county page. The last time I heard from Littleton, he still had not seen the Macoupin County web page. If you find the 1850 and 1860 useful in your research, a Thank You card would be nice. Littleton P Bradley, 6109 E Anaheim St, Mesa, Arizona 85205 I want to thank all who helped with this project. I wouldn't have done it without the tremendous help I received. Thank you all!!!! Scanner, typists, and proofreaders who transcribed the original Bradley book for the web: Diana Bagans, Carolynn Bettis, Robert Bissell, Gwen Chaar, Larry and Gerry Clark, Robert Commagere, Jack Cox, Pat Crouse, Shirley Dawson, Debi Faris, Sharon Haennelt, Marlene Bates Johnson, Joanne Kleppe, Sue Landers, Sue McMurry, Reba Mathis, Joan Miley, Pam Monroe, Charles Neff, Richard Neumann, Joyce Riechmann, Yvonne Stedman, Mark Strohbeck Please let me know of any mistakes you find. There are 24,550 names/rows. If there should be fifty row mistakes, yet, which is not good for researchers but errors in quality control would be at .02%. Pretty good quality stats for any corporation.<g> Now, if we would look at 100% sampling percentages for cell errors........50 divided by (24,550 times 17)........... Enjoy!
