Macoupin County has one of the best websites I've seen...and the most friendly and helpful people helping research our families. Being a native-born Californian doing research from afar, Macoupin County has been one of the easiest counties to search because everyone shares and is so helpful. I have been working on my Macoupin County families almost 30 years and I have found everyone connected to Macoupin County in some way to be the friendliest of all my genealogical contacts.
