I am wondering if someone can clear up something for me. According to the State Marriage Records, Susanna Doty married an L. P. Hess 20 Sep 1866 Macoupin County. According to information received from a couple Doty researchers, his name was Samuel. Is anyone familiar with this Hess line from Macoupin County that could tell me which is correct?
