Hi Y'all! I'm new to the list, and hoping someone here can do me a HUGE favor. Is there anyone on this list with access to the 1880 Macoupin Co. census? I would very much like to locate the family of John M. & Louisa BRONAUGH, who probably lived in or near Virden. They were a prominent family there for some years, but I would really, truly love to know who is in the household with them, ages, places of birth, anything else available. In particular I am hoping to shed some light on the whereabouts of their nephew, Thomas S. POINDEXTER, who is said to have been living with his aunt Louisa Bronaugh at that time. He was born in Oregon, but sent to live with relatives for a while would have been about age 15 or 16. It is possible he was using the name Thomas or Tommy Bronaugh, but I really don't know. Anyhow, if anyone can lookup the John M. BRONAUGH family in 1880 Macoupin Co., I would be forever grateful.
