My Macoupin ancestors were John Andreas MUELLER and Botilla (PETERSEN) MUELLER. Botilla changed her name to "Mathilde" after coming to America. They were there in the 1870's and early 80's. My grandmother and most of her siblings were born in Carlinville. Her name was Anna Henrietta Josephine MUELLER. Marianne/VA
